TRILLIUM Zone 3
The whole plant usually disappears by late summer. Best in a woodland situation with rich, moist acidic soil. Not always easy to establish. Plants resent being disturbed but division every 5 to 8 years is possible. This is best done in late summer after plants become dormant. When happy these may begin to spread by self seeding
Grandiflora(White) The Provincial flower of Ontario, this has larger blooms than nearly any other species of Trillium. Plants form a low mound of dark-green leaves, bearing large wide-open white flowers in spring that often age to pink. White Green Late May 8-18” high 12” spread
