Shenandoah Striking switch grass displaying slender green leaves that develop dark red leaf tips by midsummer. In late fall the entire plant turns a spectacular burgundy-purple. Airy reddish-pink flower panicles emerge in summer, turning beige in fall and persisting into winter.
